Spain
Here you will learn everything you need to know about the drone laws in Spain.
Overview:
Keep 5.5 km distance to airfields and heliports
It is only allowed to fly up to 120 m high
The drone and the remote control must be labelled.
Flying is not allowed in nature reserves.
There must always be visual line of sight to the drone
Keep 50 m distance to persons and 150 m to buildings (do not fly over them)
In Detail:
The drone and its remote control must be labelled with the name, address and a means of contacting the owner. If the drone is to be used commercially, it is necessary to obtain a government certificate. As a commercial drone pilot you must be sufficiently insured, but this is also recommended for other drone owners. If you want to fly out of sight, you have to keep a minimum distance of 15 km to the airfields. In Spain, it can also happen that other regional laws apply, therefore it is important to inquire again in case of uncertainties on site. Night flights are permitted as long as the drone weighs less than 2 kg. If the drone is controlled with video glasses, a second person must be present who has visual contact with the drone and can inform the pilot of possible risks. There is an official map for the no-fly zones in Spain.
Exceptions:
If you want to fly in nature reserves, you need the permission of the AESA. In all other no-fly zones, you must obtain permission from the Spanish Ministry of Defense.
