Switzerland
Here you will learn everything you need to know about the drone laws in Switzerland.
Overview:
Not within a radius of 5 km from airports
Flying is forbidden in the vicinity of emergency response efforts
Flying prohibited in yellow and red zones and only up to 150 m in blue zones
fly 100 m away from crowds (24+ people)
You must always fly your drone within visual line of sight
The drone must weigh less than 30 kg
In detail:
The above laws are only the basics. In order to take off a safe and legal drone flight in Switzerland, it is also necessary to have an insurance of at least 1 million CHF. As soon as a drone weighs less than 500 g, only the laws of the nature reserves, the visual line of sight and the restricted zones apply. It is also important to respect the privacy of others, and the same applies to animals. Animals should not be endangered or frightened. Flying in nature reserves is therefore prohibited. These areas are marked in yellow on the FOCA drone map, where you will also find the blue and red zones mentioned above. Blue zones are control areas and red zones are airfields. If you see an airplane outside the red zone, it is the responsibility of the drone owner to avoid it. In addition, there may be additional restrictions in various cantons. In the canton of Geneva, for example, flying at a distance of 300 m from public buildings is not permitted. Of course, it is always assumed that the drone pilot is able to control the drone correctly.
For a simple check of the laws before take-off, the FOCA flight checklist is helpful.
Exceptions:
If you want to fly near an airfield, you have to contact the airfield. Here is a list of all listed airports and their contact persons. For larger airports this is necessary here. If you have a drone that weighs more than 30 kg, you must have it approved and checked by the FOCA. For other approvals in exceptional cases you can inquire here.

Sun runs
On the website suncalc.org you can find a lot of different data and information about the sun all over the world. Especially the time of the sunrise and sunset is useful for photographers or in countries where you are only allowed to fly during the day. The website is also available as an app in the Google Play Store.
UAV Forecast
The website uavforecast.com offers various weather data important for flying. Wind and sun storms can make flying more difficult as they interfere with drone control. UAV Forecast is also available as an app for the App Store and Google Play Store.
Ventusky
Ventusky.com presents rain, wind, clouds and much more animated worldwide. What’s special is that you can see things like the wind at different heights. This can be very useful for drone flights and is therefore highly recommended. Ventusky is also available from the App Store and Google Play Store.
