Here you will learn everything you need to know about the drone laws in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Overview:
Keep distance to airfields and heliports
Do not fly too high (standard rule 120 m)
Do not disturb animals and keep distance
Keep distance to buildings and people
There must always be visual line of sight to the drone
Fly only during the day and not in case of bad weather
In Detail:
There are no drone laws in the Democratic Republic of Congo. However, this does not mean that you can do what you want. It depends on the local authorities how drone-friendly they are individually. There could be difficulties already at the airport with the entry with the drone. However, there are also many reports from tourists who have had no problems importing the drone and taking pictures. In any case, you should follow the usual guidelines (see above) and especially do not disturb people and animals. In case of doubt, one can also ask the embassy beforehand, but it is uncertain whether the respective responsible persons in the Congo will adhere to these guidelines.
